What HyperDrive is ?
PGF is a 2100mA/H plastic lithium polymer battery, but why shown only capacity of 1500mA/H when installed directly?  The reason is the original iPAQ lithium polymer battery allocates portion of power for backing up the iPAQ data. So there is 2/5 of power allocated for area backing up data, thus unable to demonstrate the tremendous bursting power of the PGF. Early when the PGF in mass production stage, HyperDrive had been attributed a follow up upgrading optional accessory, but the demand of the user of PGF is far more than this, thus accelerate the introduction of the HyperDrive and put into mass production. The figure below illustrates the function and application of HyperDrive:

In simple speaking, HyperDrive lets iPAQ recognize PGF again and avoid mistaken as original lithium polymer battery. HyperDrive is wholly a hardware device and won't cause any violation of software and no incompatibility of hardware, so there is no software required for correction. There is no concern on the aspect of data back up, for the HyperDrive regulates the back up power to same capacity set by the original manufacturer. The HyperDrive capable fully exerting of the bursting power of the PGF which allows you to have 2.5~3 times of power supply compare to original battery, change your operating habit to the iPAQ immediately

Attention!!!!!
1. We declare here that there is no part needed to be remove or replace from iPAQ, what you need is to install the HyperDrive correctly and it will work properly.
2. HyperDrive is specially designed for PGF, it shall never be used together with the battery of original manufacturer or others, otherwise will cause data loss. Please be aware for this.
 
IF you doubt with your soldering technique, please do not install HyperDrive by yourself. Contact with our authorized local distributor or install PGF alone. 

How to install HyperDrive?
There is some soldering technique required in the procedure of installing the HyperDrive, the steps given below is detailed, you may make a careful consideration. Find out the appropriate installing place after separation of main board and LCD.

1.appearance of HyperDrive 2.pre-soldering pad A B C D 3.fold this part 90 degree 4.find the position to be soldered

5.place HyperDrive at right position 6.place iPAQ horizontal to solder pad A and B 7.suggest to solder pad A first 8.use tool press pad B of HyperDrive attach mainboard pad B and soldering
9.make sure pad B of HyperDrive is well soldered with mainboard pad B 10.solder well first and not fix soldering pad till step 18 11.side view of pad B. 12.solder pad C,D do not  touch any other device.
13.a little more solder is sometimes needed when soldering pad C. 14.use tool press pad C of HyperDrive attach mainboard pad C and soldering 15.pad C that is soldered 16.use tool press pad D of HyperDrive attach mainboard pad D and soldering
17.pad A,B,C,D  that is soldered 18.effect of solder mask is shown, now  fixing soldering pad 19.pad B,C,D after fixing 20.HyperDrive that is installed.
21.usally no prominence if HyperDrive is well installed. 22.if there is prominence attach insulation tape. 23.the surface of insulation tape do not exceed that of Hyperdrive. 

 If you prefer to resume to previous state, de-solder point a, b, c and d and remove HyperDrive then resume to original state of the base board.

Trouble shooting

1. Q: System shut off at 40% power meter or operating time the same as PGF alone?

     A: Check pad B & C of HyperDrive 

2. Q: Power meter indicates normal, but operating time dose not increase or same as PGF alone?

     A: Check pad A & D of HyperDrive 

3. Q:  Switch off but continue power on?

     A: Check  pad D whether soldered together with other pad on the mainboard¡C 

4. Q: Can not switch on after installing HyperDrive, but normal when removing it ?

     A: Check if soldering pads of HyperDrive is higher than device around. Sometimes this causes circuit short. Please fix soldering pad.

 5. Q Power meter runs down quickly after installing HyperDrive?

     A: Sometimes circuit short occurs if other device is soldered together with pad A,B,C,D. Now remove Hyperdrive first, make the soldering pad clean and make sure your iPAQ can switch on. Then re-install HyperDrive.
